Featuring lavendar flower digital artwork by queer artist and Slow Mornings Co owner, Shelby Melissa, a funky blob background, and the words "Lavender Pride" this spiral notebook is a celebration of LGBTQ+ people. The words "Lavender Pride" are meant in opposition to the Lavender Scare, a period of American history, beginning the late 1940s, in which gay employees were purged of their federal jobs due their sexuality. Lavender did become the color of resistance for the queer community, and remains as such to this day. And of course, what queer notebook would be complete without a "be gay, do crime" on the inside of the back cover?
